ASUS ROG Evangelion has a misspelling error.

On November 14, 2023, ASUS unveiled the limited edition of the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO Neon Genesis Evangelion motherboard in September 2023. However, until it was officially sold out, it seems that no one noticed a small issue—this motherboard has a spelling error.

Some netizens pointed out that in the IO interface section at the upper left corner of the motherboard, to the left of Asuka's image, ASUS mistakenly printed EVANGENLION instead of EVANGELION, introducing a spelling error with an additional N.

According to Engadget, this error was not present in the news photos from July 2023 but occurred in the official production version released.

Some ASUS product advertising images also contain the error, indicating that this issue may not have been thoroughly checked throughout the entire production process.

The motherboard is painted in the distinctive red color of Unit 2, with some additional accents in orange. From the outer packaging to the product body (front and back), to the software, everything is deeply customized with EVANGELION. In addition to adding the logo of Unit 2, the chipset cooling system also uses a special particle ink process to provide a cyborg-like feel.

The I/O armor area is specially designed with dynamic lighting effects Polymo, capable of displaying two patterns of EVA Unit 2, one scene depicting the body of Unit 2 and the other featuring Asuka, supporting dynamic flow effects and AURA SYNC.

AT field elements are integrated near the CPU socket of the motherboard, expanding the absolute field from inside out, highlighting the indestructible nature of the motherboard. Additionally, there is a Resurrection Egg in the monstrous form of EVA Unit 2. You can access the monstrous form of EVA Unit 2 through CODE: THE BEAST, signifying that the motherboard's performance continues to surpass limits. Both the startup interface and BIOS interface feature components of EVA Unit 2 and Asuka, giving a sense of exclusive Unit 2 control after booting up.
